Veterinarians

Since opening in 1980, Ansley Animal Clinic has had a solid reputation of great, individual service.  This is one Atlanta’s most well respected small animal clinics.   Meet the veterinarians that have built our reputation.

Dr. Gail Kearney

Dr. Gail Kearney (owner) graduated from College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia in 1991. Dr. Kearney joined Ansley in 1994. In 2003, she was named Practice Manager of the clinic and then became owner in 2008. Dr. Kearney enjoys life in Decatur with her husband, Chris. They also have three dogs named Bauer, Lucille and Ginny. Dr. Kearney enjoys gardening, fishing, kayaking, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Stephen Spook

Dr. Stephen Spook graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and joined Ansley Animal Clinic shortly thereafter. He enjoys all aspects of general practice and preventative medicine. Dr. Spook loves the outdoors, sports, and spending time with family and friends. He and his wife, Emily, have two kids (Hannah and Henry) and a golden retriever (Jackson).

Dr. Kelsey Jordan

Dr. Kelsey Jordan joined Ansley Animal Clinic following her graduation from University of Georgia in May 2020. She also attended UGA for undergrad, with a major in Biological Sciences. Dr. Jordan’s primary professional interests include dentistry, internal medicine, and surgery. Outside of the clinic you can find her staying active around Atlanta, stumbling upon her new favorite coffee shop, and anticipating the adoption of her future pup!

Dr. Andrew Webster

Dr. Andrew Webster joined Ansley Animal Clinic after he graduated from the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2022. Prior to veterinary school, he received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Georgia. His professional interests include dentistry, diagnostic imaging, and surgery. Dr. Webster currently lives in Marietta with his two cats. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, watching basketball, and spending time with family.

Dr. Lauren Dempsey

Dr. Lauren Dempsey was born in Ohio and grew up in Alpharetta, GA. For her undergraduate, she pursued a Zoology degree from The Ohio State University (GO BUCKS!). She then returned to Athens, GA, to pursue her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. Upon graduation from veterinary school, she spent 7 years in Chicago, working at a large 9 doctor practice in Lincoln Park. She’s been back in Atlanta for a couple of years now and loves the city and its pets. Dr. Dempsey’s specific veterinary interests include dentistry, internal medicine, and feline medicine. When she’s not working, she loves traveling, reading, hiking, and exploring Atlanta’s food scene.

Dr. Sarah Roth

Dr. Sarah Roth joins Ansley Animal Clinic with a background of relief and associate work. She graduated from UGA College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 where she was a double dawg (Go Dawgs!). Dr. Roth lives with her husband and her rescued English Labrador. loves skiing, hiking, camping, baking, cooking and gardening. Dr. Roth enjoys ophthalmology and a challenging internal medicine case. She is excited to work as an associate again so that she can establish relationships with clients and their animals and see them for years on end.

Dr. Sam Roton

Dr. Sam Roton graduated from University of Georgia’s college of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2023. Prior to veterinary school, he received a degree in criminology from University of West Georgia and worked in the security field for several years. Dr. Roton’s favorite areas within veterinary science are endocrinology and oncology. He has a dog named Shakira, and his hobbies include cooking, running, watching movies, and exploring Atlanta with his wife.
