Since opening in 1980, Ansley Animal Clinic has had a solid reputation of great, individual service.  This is one Atlanta’s most well respected small animal clinics.   Meet the veterinarians that have built our reputation.

Dr. Bob Steen

Dr. Bob Steen graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia in 2010.  After graduating from UGA, he completed a small animal rotating internship in Los Angeles, CA and practiced in Manhattan Beach, CA. Dr. Steen moved back to Atlanta, GA in 2014 where he practiced veterinary medicine before joining Ansley in August 2015.  Dr. Steen's medical interests include internal medicine, ultrasound and neurology. His hobbies include travel, golf, hiking, and spending time with family. Dr. Steen lives in Atlanta with his wife Ellyn, also a veterinarian, and their golden retriever named Willa.

Dr. Angelica Reyes Waters

Dr. Angelica Reyes Waters joined Ansley in July of 2015. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2011.  For four years after graduation, she worked at a mixed animal practice in rural Alabama, where she also helped launch a local shelter. She returned to Atlanta and eventually returned to Ansley Animal Clinic where from 2004 to 2005 she had worked as a vet tech and receptionist.   Dr. Waters enjoys life with her husband, Jay, and her daughter, Aberdeen.  She's expecting a second child in January 2016. She has three dogs: a beagle named Sammy, and two mixed breed dogs named Delilah and Bueller. She also has three cats: Pandora, Ramona, and a blind cat named Specs.

Dr. Stephen Spook

Dr. Stephen Spook graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida in 2012 and joined Ansley Animal Clinic shortly thereafter. His medical interests include internal medicine, nutrition and dermatology. Dr. Spook loves fishing, hiking, and college football. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and their Golden Retriever, Jackson.

Dr. Joanie (Brower) Myracle

Dr. Joanie (Brower) Myracle graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida in 1998. She joined Ansley Animal Clinic soon after and has been a part of the practice ever since. Dr. Myracle’s professional interests include small animal dentistry, surgery, and cytology. She lives in Decatur with her husband, Eric, and two sons, Jack and Matthew. Dr. Myracle enjoys spending time with her family, the outdoors, and running with her dog,  Abigail.

Dr. Kelly Coates

Dr. Kelly Coates graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tennessee in 2006. After completing a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Georgia Veterinary Specialists (GVS), Dr. Coates joined Ansley Animal Clinic in 2007. She and her husband, Matt, have a dog named Penny, a cat named Orville, two sons named Cannon and Everett, and a daughter, Tori. Dr. Coates and Matt enjoy soccer, hiking, outdoor fun and spending time with their family.

Dr. Kimberly Fireman

Dr. Kimberly Fireman received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 2010 and joined Ansley Animal Clinic that same year. She and her husband, David, live in Morningside with their two boys, Chester and Eli. Dr. Fireman enjoys spending time with family, cooking, dining, and having fun in Piedmont Park.

Dr. Adrienne Scott

Dr. Adrienne Scott received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2002. She joined Ansley Animal Clinic in January of 2011. Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Scott has made Atlanta her home. Dr. Scott’s medical interests include feline and geriatric medicine, surgery, dermatology, and internal medicine. Dr. Elizabeth Wood

Dr. Elizabeth Wood received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2004. Afterwards, she completed a one year internship in surgery, internal medicine and emergency medicine at Georgia Veterinary Specialists (GVS). She then practiced for five years in Sandy Springs before joining Ansley Animal Clinic in 2010. Her primary interests include dentistry, feline medicine, and preventative medicine. She and her husband, Patrick, live in Midtown with their two young children, Evelyn and Henry, and their black lab, Shadow.

Dr. Gail Kearney

Dr. Gail Kearney (owner) graduated from College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia in 1991. Dr. Kearney joined Ansley in 1994. In 2003, she was named Practice Manager of the clinic and then became owner in 2008. Dr. Kearney enjoys life in Decatur with her husband, Chris, and their two children, Shane and Katie. They also have four dogs named Bauer, Snickers, Lucille and Ginny, and a few beloved backyard chickens.
